Staying in Leeds

From the reasonably priced guest houses to the very expensive hotels where the businessman will relax in comfort, Leeds will suit everyone. Hotels that cater for families as well as having leisure facilities and swimming pools are all here in ample supply in Leeds. The University of Leeds has lots of accommodation around its vicinity to accommodate all the students. During the Summer and Easter, there is always a lot of accommodation that is more easily reserved. The architecture in this area is splendid. The Hotel capital of Leeds is Headingley, which caters for families, students, business men as well as the many tourists that come here during the Summer months.

This area used to be very rich and one notices this by the massive red brick buildings in the neighbourhood. On Cardigan Road, which is near the Headingley Cricket Ground has some great family run hotels. The area is only two miles from the city centre. Another great area for modest prices around Leeds can be found in Roundhay, which also has a great park, with its lake, lots of gardens and fields, which makes Roundhay attractive for all types of visitors and especially families.

The park also hosts many festivals and concerts during the Summer time. On the outskirts of the city, there are many country manors and top class old world hotels that have lots of land and space for walks in the countryside if you have the large wallet to meet the price. Although they are expensive, in relative terms, they are great value in comparison to other 4 star hotels around the world. For convenience, one could book an hotel next to the central railway station in the centre of the city which would suit a lot of the tourists that are stuck for time and need to make the next train the following day.
