Cinema and Theatre in LeedsThe Hyde Park Picture House was built in 1914 and has its original facade, the velvet curtains and all the traditional gas lamps to make this cinema very unique. It is very famous in this part of England and every October, it co hosts the annual Leeds International Film Festival which is a very popular festival in England. The Festival shows classics, short films and new films all over the city in all sorts of venues, where even in the bars in the Exchange Quarter, one can watch a film while enjoying a beer and some pub grub. This is really enjoyable for the film buff and attracts great interest. The new Warner Village Cinema and leisure complex in Kirkstall has also become very busy. Also the Showcase is a busy cinema, while the Odeon in the city centre is very convenient. The Lounge and Cottage Road cinemas which are in Headingley are really comfortable and have all the popcorn and ice cream that one needs. The National Museum of Photography, Film and Television is in Bradford and is truly remarkable. It attracts all sorts who want to learn about the history of film, the moving images, and all the new types of media.
